as of May 2000, Ma state law requires all practicing
home inspectors to be licensed.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has created an  informational form to
inform consumers about home inspectors and the inspection process. It also serves as a reference
as to where to find a home inspector. The "facts for consumers" form is provided to a buyer before or just as an offer is being accepted

Realtors may refer a home inspector to a buyer, but only if they are acting as a Buyer's Agent.
